Local Plan Scoping Consultation Launched
The scoping consultation is early engagement at the start of plan-making that invites views on what the plan should include and how future consultation should be undertaken. Responses should be received by the end of Tuesday 1st September, 2026. Click here to submit a response.
Local Plan Notice of Intention and Timetable Published
We are required to publish a Notice of Intention to Commence Local Plan preparation and a new Local Plan Timetable to provide communities and other stakeholders with advance notice of plan‑making so they understand when and how they can get involved in the Plan under the new plan-making system. The timetable replaces the previously published Local Development Scheme under the old plan-making system.
Transition of Local Plan production to the new national system of plan-making
Cabinet decides at its 13/7/26 meeting to transition Local Plan production to the new national system of plan-making under the Levelling Up and Regeneration Act.
Local Development Scheme Updated
