1. Initial Engagement & Evidence Preparation
Initial stage of consultation and a call for sites addendum to inform the preparation of the Local Plan evidence base and Draft Local Plan.
The Local Plan is still at an early stage and must go through a number of stages before it is adopted by the Council. The Plan will be supported by an updated evidence base, to justify the policy approach taken, and be informed by community and stakeholder engagement.
This stage includes initial engagement with the public on priorities for growth and infrastructure and a call for sites addendum to consider existing and additional sites to meet the area’s development needs. If you require further information regarding call for sites or how to submit a response, please read our guidance document.
The Initial Engagement consultation has concluded. All comments received will be considered and will help shape a draft Local Plan in stage 2. The Council’s response to comments will be published on the website in due course.
All sites submitted during the call for sites addendum consultation are currently under review for inclusion within the draft Local Plan. Sites submitted following the close of consultation may be assessed at a later stage of the plan-making process, depending on the stage of Plan preparation. Please see the Call for sites page for more information.
