Statement of Community Involvement

The Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) sets out how we will involve local communities, businesses and organisations in preparing the Local Plan and the planning application process. It includes details on how and when community involvement will take place and who will be consulted.

Planning affects everyone in some way – the homes we live in, the open spaces we enjoy, the leisure facilities we use, and the roads we travel on.

It is important that local people understand the planning process and have the opportunity to get involved and have their say – to influence planning decisions to shape the place they live.
